Period One - Spring

The first application of slow release granular fertiliser is applied to encourage controlled grass growth at this crucial time. The feed works over a period of around ten weeks. A liquid post emergence, selective weed kill is also applied to take care of those early starting weeds.

Period Two - Early Summer

Another feed is applied, also slow release, this time to strengthen the blade and add colour and vigour to your lawn. Liquid weed kill is again applied, the type depending on your weed specimens as the more complex weeds will be appearing at this time.

Period Three - Late Summer

The fertiliser at this stage is aimed to prolong grass health and colour as well as combating impending disease. Another weed control spray is applied if necessary, the type depending on the weed.

Period Four - Autumn/Winter

An all-in-one based product is used to extend colour and strength into the winter months with a heavy bias on moss control.

Scarification

Scarification is key to most lawns health. Its main function is to remove thatch which strangles the grass plant. Thatch is a layer of debris which prevents crucial nutrients and water reaching the plants root zone leading to poor quality grass susceptible to disease and moss build up. It also encourages the grass to thicken. We achieve this using professional petrol powered equipment in either the Autumn or Spring.

Aeration

Aeration is aimed at reducing compaction and helping prevent thatch as well as allowing vital nutrients to reach the root zone.

Hollow Tine

Most beneficial on lawn susceptible to thatch and moss. A core is extracted from the top 3" - 4" of turf structure.

Solid Tine

Used on lawn in good general condition as an aid to compaction and soil structure.

Mowing

Regular or occasional mowing service for when you are too busy.

Leaf Clearance

Collection and removal of unsightly leaves. Essential for thatch prevention

Other Available Treatments

Treatments are also available to deal with lawn disease and pests such as Red Thread, Leather Jackets, Worm Casts as well as extra moss control.
